Forming disc galaxies in major mergers

I follow the formation of galactic discs during major mergers, using
high resolution N-body + SPH simulations. I witness the inside-out
formation of the disc, and of type II breaks in the radial projected
density profiles. The bulge to total baryonic mass ratio varies from
one run to another, with a minimum of 0.05 . The resulting rotation curves
are flat. In all my simulations I find that the disc has substructures, such
as bars, lenses, spirals and rings. I will briefly discuss the dynamics of these
substructures, as well as radial migration of the stars
