Global space astrometry for the 21th century, an ESA mission
The Gaia satellite, cornerstone of the European Space Agency, has been launched december 19, 2013 for a 5 years mission. The scientific preparation of the mission is organised since 2006 by the DPAC european Consortium, to which our teams contribute. DPAC has been developing algorithms for the simulation and the data analysis of the data from the satellite. Within DPAC, our team has the responsibility of the spectrograph calibration and of the data handling. The selected candidate will work on the software development (conception, optimisation) of the spectroscopic data analysis modules, and the analysis of the results.
Applications together with a detailed CV, bibliography, and reference persons should be sent as described on emploi.cnrs site, the review of the applications starting now and until the position is filled.
